SensusAccess is a self-service tool that converts documents into a range of digitally accessible alternative formats. It can transform inaccessible documents- PDFs, scanned documents, pictures of text, and PowerPoint presentations and put them into more accessible formats. The service can also be used to automatically convert documents into a range of alternate media including audiobooks (MP3 and DAISY), e-books, and digital Braille. Everyone from faculty, staff, administrators, and alumni can access this by following the easy steps below.
SensusAccess is entirely automated and the documents you submit are automatically deleted once it has been converted.
TIPS is offering several opportunities to learn more about SensusAccess this semester. Join one of our group training sessions, ask questions in an open lab setting, or schedule a one-on-one with our Instructional Accessibility Specialist for more guidance with alternative formats, making documents more accessible, and troubleshooting issues within SensusAccess.
