Art Exhibit Inspires Imagination & Critical Thinking Skills
Jan 6, 2022
CU Denver is located in the heart of a thriving business and entertainment district. Students have convenient access to international companies, fine restaurants, shopping, science and history museums, and innovative art galleries. The ICB students found creative inspiration on a visit to the Spectra Art Space, hosted by the Office of International Affairs, where they particularly enjoyed the Nova Ita exhibit. In conjunction with new artists, writers, actors, and technology teams, Nova Ita is an interactive art exhibition that focuses on creative exploration and puzzle-solving. It is set in a prosperous “Post-Event” world that envisions how people are living in harmony with nature, with “magical discoveries” being made in an immersive, interactive art experience. The visit provided fuel for the students’ imaginations, expanded their critical thinking skills, and was a purely fun recreational activity to balance the time spent in diligently focusing on their academic studies.
