In December 2022, the Faculty Assembly (FA) adopted a resolution urging the university to enhance shared governance at CU Denver’s schools, colleges, and the Auraria Library (hereafter referred to as "colleges"). In response, the Office of the Provost committed to conducting a comprehensive review of faculty shared governance practices.
This review occurred during the Spring 2024 semester and focused on examining bylaws, faculty structures, and compliance with Regent Law and Policies regarding faculty shared governance. This report, authored by Associate Professor Peter Anthamatten, a former FA Chair, details the findings of this review.
