The Ombuds Office is a safe, confidential, and nonbiased resource that members of the University of Colorado Denver | Anschutz can approach to discuss, voice, and clarify any university-related concerns. We are a neutral third-party resource that is available to hear individual complaints and help sort out and identify options for resolving those concerns.
The Ombuds Office is well-trained in listening, facilitating, recommending, mediating, and coaching. Each individual on our team is a member of the International Ombudsman Association and are Certified Organizational Ombudsman Practitioners.
We even offer trainings and seminars for groups and departments to help learn communication skills, conflict management, and effective team building.
In the Ombuds Office, we believe that every individual deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. We believe that everyone should feel safe and comfortable in their workspace, living space, and learning space. We feel that building and maintaining relationships enhances experiences at work, in the classroom, and in everyday life. We believe that each individual's passion should lead what they do and how they do it, whether it be at work, in the classroom, or in everyday life.
We believe that conflict is inevitable, whether personal or professional. That being said, we also believe that our office can help people engage effectively and positively in order to improve relationships and results.
Communications with the Ombuds Office may begin with a phone call, e-mail, letter, or visit. Please contact our office to make an appointment. We will do our best to accommodate walk-ins if need be.
