OIT has been reworking our tools and services and we have more to offer than ever before. You might be familiar with the standard tools provided by the university such as Microsoft Office, Zoom, and Canvas, but are you aware of these other programs that you can access for free or at a discounted rate?

BioRender:

BioRender is an image rendering software to create professional science figures in minutes by building your figures from thousands of pre-made icons and templates from more than 30 fields of life sciences. This software license is available to faculty, staff, and students for the discounted rate of $200.00. To sign up, submit a ticket with your name, department or unit, and speedtype for each license requested (one ticket per license.)

DocuSign:

The Anschutz Medical Campus has procured DocuSign software for all faculty, staff, and researchers. This software is free to use and is great for a fast, secure way to create, sign, and send documents from any device. It is HIPAA compliant and is web-based with electronic signatures, so no printing required. Submit a ticket to request an account, no speedtype required but please include your name and email.

Formstack and Qualtrics:

Both tools are for creating forms and surveys and all university faculty and staff have access to them for free. Qualtrics is HIPAA compliant and is an excellent tool for researchers.  Submit a ticket to request an account, no speedtype required but please include your name and email.  

Poll Everywhere:

Faculty and staff can use Poll Everywhere to create and host live polls, view audience responses, and download reports. Polls can be added to PowerPoint presentations, displayed in a web browser, shared with colleagues, or embedded into Canvas. Go to the university's Poll Everywhere single sign-on (SSO) login page at polleverywhere.com/auth/saml/ucdenver. Log in with your university email and password to create your account.
