The Office of Global Education’s highest priority is helping students stay healthy and safe while abroad. It is important to consider what challenges you may face outside the U.S. and to acquaint yourself with available resources. We’ve included a number of health and safety tips that apply to all students going abroad.

The safety and security of all CU Denver faculty, staff and students is our highest priority. While international travel is generally quite safe, there are destinations that pose particular challenges.
Insurance is available to mitigate a wide range of situations that may occur while traveling abroad, including: medical and health, legal, security evacuation, lost luggage, and trip cancellation.
Register with the U.S. State Department’s Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) and register with International SOS’s MyTrips Program.
