Microsites

A microsite in Sitefinity is a page or group of pages under an existing website that feel like a separate website. You can create a microsite by setting up a page with its own navigation structure under your existing website.

Creating a microsite

1. From the Sitefinity dashboard, make sure that the correct website is selected at the top left. Then select the "Pages" tab at the top.
2. Select the "Create a Page" button.
3. Enter a name for the page.
4. Under "Put this page..." select "On top level" to prevent inherited settings.
5. Uncheck the option to "Show in navigation". This will hide your microsite from your main website's navigation structure.
6. Fill out the rest of the properties for your new page. Remember to copy and paste the appropriate Google tag manager ID for your domain to track analytics.
7. Select "Continue".
8. Choose a template and then your page will be created.

This new top level (or parent) page you've created will serve as the homepage for your microsite. To create additional pages for your microsite, create child pages under this top level page. Please note that you do not need to uncheck "Show in navigation" for these child pages.
