The Lola & Rob Salazar Student Wellness Center strives to provide welcoming and safe spaces for all guests. Specific facility amenities include gender-inclusive restrooms and shower rooms, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)-accessible facilities
and equipment, a lactation room, and activity spaces designed to accommodate various ability, skill, and comfort levels.
The Lola & Rob Salazar Student Wellness Center offers 8 All-Gender Restrooms throughout the facility. Two are located on each of the first, second, and third levels as well as two in the Aquatics area.
ADA accessible lockers are located in the men’s and women’s locker rooms as well as the main locker corridor on the 1st Level.
Nursing Parents can reserve space in the Lactation Room in the Salazar Student Wellness Center located on the 2nd level, which includes a lounge bench and sink. This applies to parents who need to reserve a quiet space to bottle feed, as well. To reserve this space contact the Member Services Desk (303.315.9355) or ask for a facility supervisor to access the space.
Wellness and Recreation Services is continuing to improve programs and facilities to enhance accessibility for all patrons. We currently offer 4 pieces of adaptive strength equipment located in Fitness 2 on the 2nd level. We also have adaptive workout space on our 3rd Level Movement Loft.
Wellness & Recreation staff members are available to assist with our adaptive lift to aid patrons entering and exiting the swimming pool.

CU Denver Wellness and Recreation Services make inclusivity a priority. We utilize various training such as Mental Health First Aid, Diversity Equity and Inclusion Certificate, and an ongoing focus during staff meetings. Even with this level of training, it is difficult to ensure all student staff and patrons are fully aware of our policies. We strive to offer a welcoming and inclusive environment for the CU Denver community.
