Administrative Withdrawal of Students with Outstanding Debt Policy
- Students who owe a past due debt to the university over $1500 may be administratively dropped from any future terms if the past due amount is not paid in full before the Friday before the first day of classes of the next term. For more information, please review the Outstanding Debt Administrative Drop Policy.
Auraria Campus Fee Waiver Petition
- Auraria campus students are charged mandatory student fees such as the Auraria Bond (AHEC Bond), Energy Renewal, RTD College Pass Program, Student Health Center, Student Recreation, and Phoenix Center fees.
- Students who are enrolled at multiple campuses (Community College of Denver, Metropolitan State University of Denver, CU Denver) may elect to waive their duplicate fees. To do so, you must complete the Auraria Campus Fee Waiver Petition and
return it to the Bursar's Office. In addition to the waiver form, you must submit a copy of your current bill verifying the duplicate fees charged to your account.
- By completing the fee waiver you agree to submit the waiver only once (per term) and will not submit a duplicate waiver petition to another campus. The university will begin accepting and processing fee waivers after the census date. Waivers
are only accepted for the current semester and the deadline for submission is the last day of the term.
For questions or more information regarding this policy, please, contact our office at 303-315-1800 or e-mail us at Bursar@ucdenver.edu.
Bankruptcy Policy/Discharged Debt
- Students who have previously filed bankruptcy or have a current open bankruptcy claim thus are covered by the period of automatic stay. If a student has an open bankruptcy claim, or if a student has previously had debt forgiven with the University
of Colorado Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus through bankruptcy (any chapter), or discharged due to expired judgment, the University of Colorado Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus will allow the student full access to records and allow the student to register for future semesters. However,
all payments must be made before registering for the semester in which they are enrolling, or the student must have completed their financial aid packet and have funds awarded by the payment deadline. If the financial aid does not
cover the entire semester enrolled the student must pay in full the remaining balance by the payment deadline or you may be dropped from your classes.
- E-Bill Policy
- The University of Colorado Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus has
implemented an official E-Bill (electronic billing) program. The
university no longer mails paper billing statements to students. All registered students must access their student account bill through the UCDAccess portal.
- E-bills are online student billing statements. E-bills display the
same information as paper billing statements (for example: charges for
tuition and fees, as well as credits and payments). As a student, you
will receive a monthly notification to your official university e-mail
account stating that your current E-Bill is available. This e-mail
notification will include a link to the UCDAccess portal and step-by-step instructions for accessing your E-Bill.
- Your E-Bill is a snapshot of your student account, similar to any paper bills you may receive. Any student account activity
that has taken place since the E-Bill was created will not be
reflected. The "Account Balance" provided in the "Finances" section of
the Student Center in UCDAccess is your true student balance.
- Your payment options will not change as a result of the E-Bill
program. You may pay online with an electronic check or credit card, in-person at the Bursar's Office, or mail a check or money order payment
to the address provided on the .PDF version of your E-Bill.
- You may set up other individuals (such as a parent, guardian,
employer, or other third party) as "Authorized Payers" to view your
E-Bill and make payments online. Any Authorized Payer you establish will
receive an e-mail notification each time a new E-Bill is available. If
your parent or guardian typically pays your tuition and fee bill, the University of Colorado Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus encourages you
to establish that person as an Authorized Payer.
