Sitefinity October 2020 Release Notes
New enhancements + bug fixes
Kali Karakasidou | Office of Information Technology Oct 27, 2020This month’s release was on the lighter side due to our focus on the Web Biography build. However, we’re excited to announce exciting new functionalities for you to use that we think will greatly impact our sites.
New functionality + content types
Site-wide notification banners: you can now build a notification banner in page properties and have it be inherited down to selected pages. This functionality aims to provide a seamless way to ensure important messages are loud + clear on your sites so that they are not missed. To learn more about how to leverage this, please visit this AtWeb page. Please note that if you'd like to create or edit a banner, you'll need permissions. Submit a ticket at websitehelp@ucdenver.edu to receive permissions.
Key Dates content type: this re-usable content type will allow you to easily communicate to your audiences key dates in a visually appealing and consistent manner. This new functionality aims to provide a seamless way to ensure all important dates are consistent and clear to the site visitors, such as admissions deadlines, scholarship deadlines, etc. As of now, you can only use this stand-alone, but we’ll be building this in checklist phases in a few upcoming sprints. To learn more about how to leverage this, please visit this AtWeb page.
